Saint Anselm College partners with institutions to offer our students additional academic opportunities. These partnerships allow our students to continue their education at Notre Dame University, the University of Massachusetts, the Catholic University of America, Manhattan College, and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS).

Health Science Programs

The health sciences partnership gives students a pathway to highly sought after health care positions. Students can complete the following programs: Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Optometry, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Physician Assistant Studies, Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Learn the qualifications a Saint Anselm student needs to earn a seat in one of these programs.

ESTEEM Program

The ESTEEM Program with the University of Notre Dame combines technical work with training and mentoring in entrepreneurship and innovation earning students a master's degree.

    A Future in Health Sciences

    Positions in health-related fields are in demand and Saint Anselm College can give you a head start on your post-graduate plans. In a partnership with Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), qualified Saint Anselm College graduates will have a seat in one of the following MCPHS programs:

    • Doctor of Pharmacy
    • Doctor of Optometry
    • Doctor of Physical Therapy
    • Master of Physician Assistant Studies
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing

    Current and prospective students who are interested in these programs can speak with Chief Health Professions Advisor, Professor Carolyn Weinreb, Ph.D., of the chemistry department.

    Doctor of Pharmacy
    Saint Anselm students completing a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field may apply for the Doctor of Pharmacy program (PharmD program) at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, Mass. or Manchester, N.H. Qualified students will have an overall GPA of 3.2, with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 in specified prerequisite coursework, and meet additional admission requirements found on the MCPHS website. Up to five Saint Anselm students may qualify for this program every year.

    Doctor of Optometry
    Saint Anselm students completing a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field may apply for the Doctor of Optometry (OD program) at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences campus in Worcester, Mass. Qualified students will have an overall GPA of 3.2, with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 in specified prerequisite coursework, and meet additional admission requirements found on the MCPHS website. Up to five Saint Anselm students may qualify for this program every year.

    Master of Physician Assistant Studies
    Saint Anselm students completing a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field may apply for the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program (MPAS program) at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences campus in Worcester, Mass. and Manchester, N.H. Qualified students will have an overall GPA of 3.2, with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 in specified prerequisite coursework, and meet additional admission requirements found on the MCPHS website. Up to three Saint Anselm students may qualify for this program every year.

    Doctor of Physical Therapy
    Saint Anselm students completing a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field may apply for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program (DPT program) at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences campus in Worcester, Mass. Qualified students will have an overall GPA of 3.2, with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 in specified prerequisite coursework, and meet additional admission requirements found on the MCPHS website. Up to two Saint Anselm students may qualify for this program every year.

    Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    Saint Anselm students completing a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field may apply for the Bachelor of Nursing program (BSN program) at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences campus in Worcester, Mass. and Manchester, N.H. Qualified students will have an overall GPA of 3.0, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in specified prerequisite coursework, and meet additional admission requirements found on the MCPHS website. Up to five Saint Anselm students may qualify for this program every year.

  • ESTEEM Program

    Earn a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from the University of Notre Dame in one year through the ESTEEM Program.

    Saint Anselm College's big thinkers interested in creating new things and developing new methods can continue their education through the college's partnership with Notre Dame.

    Technical Work, Entrepreneurship, Innovation
    The ESTEEM program combines technical work with training and mentoring in entrepreneurship and innovation. It matches technical innovation with business know-how. Students will develop solutions to problems and establish a business to bring those solutions to the marketplace. ESTEEM stands for "Engineering, Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Excellence Master's."

    To qualify, students must have a 3.0 GPA during six undergraduate semesters and must apply their junior year at Saint Anselm. If this program interests you, contact physics Professor Ian Durham. The ESTEEM program is open to all science majors including Computer Science and Mathematics, as well as non-science majors with a strong science background.

    Military Testing with Stephen Gaudet '11

    Stephen Gaudet '11, was the first Saint Anselm graduate to take advantage of the ESTEEM program.

    Now Gaudet works in the software engineering department at Raytheon, a defense technology company in Andover, Mass. He now spends most of his time as an integration and testing engineer on sites in Utah and New Mexico. The equipment he works on is part of a multimillion dollar project that is in its late stages of development.
